iOS June 12, 2026

  • Track photos — add images straight from your photo library or camera. Shown as a thumbnail in the track list and full-screen with zoom.
  • Custom track-line color — pick from seven colors tuned for contrast against satellite maps.
  • Norwegian — the app is now fully localized in Norwegian (Bokmål).
  • The map remembers your satellite/standard choice automatically.
  • Units now follow your device’s region setting.
Android June 11, 2026

Android version 1.1

  • Photo attachments on tracks — take photos or pick from the gallery (up to 10) with a cover image right in the track list.
  • Custom track line color — a curated palette tuned for contrast against the satellite map.
  • Contrast halo on the track line — a white outline for better readability in dense forest.
  • Map type on the map — switch between satellite and standard; your choice is saved.
  • Units follow your device — meters or feet chosen automatically from your device language.
  • Accessibility — checkmark on found articles, screen-reader titles and reduced-motion support.
iOS June 2, 2026

iOS version 1.1.9

Better GPS in the forest and smoother template laying.

  • Better GPS accuracy in the forest — the track line is denser and more accurate under tree cover.
  • Article button when laying from a template — drop articles freely at your position even when following a template.
  • More discreet watermark in the result view so it never hides the track.
  • Small fixes: tighter start zoom and cleaner time display.
iOS June 2, 2026

iOS version 1.1.8

A better start for new users and a richer Legends section.

  • New onboarding for first-time users — a clearer empty state guides you to lay your first track.
  • Legends now show the dog’s full track history — open and browse past tracks.
  • Stability and under-the-hood cleanup.
Android June 2, 2026

Android version 1.0

The first public release of Spårhunden for Android — full parity with iOS, from laying your first track to analyzing the result.

  • Forest-grade GPS — filters tuned for dense forest and a robust background service, with an active watchdog that warns you the moment GPS drops.
  • Disciplines — working-dog tracking classes and IGP/FPr with the right article count, aging times and track lengths.
  • Material-specific articles — leather, wood, felt, metal and more, with precise pace guidance on the map.
  • Automatic article detection — marked automatically with haptic feedback.
  • Area tracks (Pro) — see previous tracks as an overlay so you avoid crossing or laying twice.
  • Blind tracks — share hidden tracks encrypted with training partners for a competition-like setup.
  • Decoy tracks (Pro) — distraction training for advanced handlers.
  • Goals and badges — weekly goals, streaks and badges to unlock.
  • Home screen widgets — aging time, weekly goals, shortcuts and stats.
iOS May 30, 2026

iOS version 1.1.7

GPS improvements and a calmer view while tracking.

  • Improved GPS filtering — including a new profile tuned for open fields in IGP.
  • Cleaner view during active tracking — seconds removed.
  • New setting: detailed articles for training tracks too.
iOS May 27, 2026

iOS version 1.1.6

Improvements to GPS and tracking in the forest.

  • GPS calibration — now works correctly even when you’re standing still. The app keeps taking in signals until accuracy converges, instead of getting stuck on “Searching for signal”.
  • Better GPS accuracy in dense forest — the threshold is now tuned for Swedish conditions under tree cover.
  • Ghost tracks are now Area Tracks — a clearer name for the feature that shows tracks from your area.
iOS May 25, 2026

iOS version 1.1.5

Articles are now marked automatically — for real.

  • Reliable auto-marking — we found and fixed three issues that together made automatic article marking unreliable, especially in the forest. Now it works as intended: stop near the article for a moment and the app marks it.
  • Tip: if you’ve had trouble, reset the defaults under Settings → Track following.
iOS May 22, 2026

iOS version 1.1.4

Introducing Legends.

  • Legends — a permanent place of honor for dogs that are no longer active. Move a retired or passed dog here: all stats and history are preserved, the dog doesn’t count toward your dog limit, and you can write a personal tribute.
iOS May 20, 2026

iOS version 1.1.3

Smoother GPS tracks and several improvements to the result view.

  • Smoother GPS track line — the app filters out temporary GPS jumps caused by brief signal loss.
  • More “How it works” guides — for sharing a track and for decoy tracks.
  • Training tags for Bruksspår and IGP — now shown in the result view for all disciplines.
  • Article count during tracking — shown alongside aging time and distance.
  • Version number in Settings — tap to copy build info.
  • Bug fixes for sharing via Messenger and WhatsApp.
iOS May 17, 2026

iOS version 1.1.2

Action Button support and a new track type.

  • Action Button support — quick actions (mark article, end following) without opening the app.
  • New track type: Training — for free training without class requirements.
  • Redeem offer codes for Spårhunden Pro.
  • Faster deletion of large tracks.
iOS May 14, 2026

iOS version 1.1.1

An important fix for shared blind tracks.

  • Bug fix: shared blind tracks now always include all track data.
iOS May 12, 2026

iOS version 1.1

The biggest update since launch — a new discipline and several new tools.

  • IGP — a whole new discipline — full support for IGP-FH 1–3 with class info, start-flag phase, material-colored articles and stride-length calibration.
  • Decoy tracks (Pro) — distraction tracks that cross your regular tracks and auto-detect crossings.
  • Apple Health — every completed track is saved as a walking workout.
  • Siri, Spotlight & Shortcuts — voice control and system search for your dogs and tracks.
  • English — the app is now fully localized in English.
  • Track summary — automatic text describing your track, perfect for sharing.
  • Primary dog — pick a favorite as the default in challenges and widgets.
